IxD Lab

The Interaction Design (IxD) lab coordinates and contributes to research projects targeting different but often related sustainable development goals (SDGs). While most of our work is in the health, care and wellbeing domain, it extends to planetary health. We apply and develop design research methods such as research through design, value sensitive design, co- and participatory design and systemic design.

Currently, IxD is involved in several large national consortia where we contribute with expertise on design for behaviour change and design for values. Examples are the MOCIA NWO cross-over project where we co-develop a multi-domain lifestyle intervention to sustain cognitive functioning in ageing and the NWO Gravity SiA (Stress in Action) project.
